Dracula is the adoptive father of Draculaura and a prominent vampire in the Monster High universe.
Dracula is the adoptive father of Draculaura (G1). He appears in the diaries and various book series, but has not had a visual presence in any of the webisodes or movies, aside from brief photos in the movie Frights, Camera, Action!.

Character
Dracula has a rich background involving compassion, loss, and advocacy for monster equality.
Around 412 AD, Gaius, a Roman soldier and the great-great-grandson of Trajan who was one of Dracula's servants and friends, is killed in a battle, leaving his wife Camille a pregnant widow and with no means to support the soon-to-be-born child. In a move of compassion and honor of his old friend, Dracula gives aid to Camille and receives them in his castle. There, Camille becomes a housekeeper of Dracula.
Soon Draculaura (G1) is born, her name given as an honor to the being who saved both her and her mother's lives. The family decides to move to the Dacia province, nowadays known as Romania, to offer Draculaura (G1) the environment she needs.
However, as Dracula leaves Dacia to attend an old business in Rome, a plague invades the province, killing many of the inhabitants, in which Camilla is included. Dracula arrives home to find that the love of his life is dead and that Draculaura (G1) is sick too, so to prevent her death, he adopts her and converts her into a Vampires, giving the child immortality and immunity to the plague.
Dracula was once a member of ASOME, a society who believes themselves superior to other monsters. But after realizing that the group's ideals were wrong, he decided to leave and, along with other monsters, set up the Society of United Monsters to stop ASOME's plans and promote monster equality, which led to the creation of Monster High (location) (G1).
Draculaura gets along with her father, although she thinks he is very old fashioned and every year he tries to convince her to be a more traditional Vampires, including keeping nighttime hours and drinking blood.

Dracula has family ties with Draculaura and others, and maintains friendships with key figures in the monster world.
