Finnegan "Finn" Wake is a 2022-introduced and all-around character. He is a merman, and a student at Monster High. Charming and chill, Finnegan is a merman who uses a wheelchair to get around on land. He has a beautiful singing voice, just like his aunties, the sirens.

Finnegan grew up in the ocean, loves rock music, and enjoys thrilling activities.
Finnegan grew up in the ocean with his parents (who share his love of rock music). Sometime after he was hatched, he received his guitar, Sally.
Finnegan is a chill and friendly merman. Like most merfolk, Finnegan has a love of music, especially rock, and wanted to be the leader of his own band ever since he was little. He also loves doing things that are thrilling and extreme.
Finn is a blue merman with a dark blue tail, dark blue fin-like-hair set in a mohawk, and blue eyes. He wears a greenish yellow shirt with a black vest over it. He has a studded choker and matching bracelets on each wrist. His wheelchair is blue and purple with an octopus design on the wheels.
- Breathing Underwater: Finnegan can breathe underwater.
- Music: Finnegan knows how to play guitar and also has a good singing voice.
- Trident Proficiency: When they’re hatched, every merperson receives a musical instrument that can transform into a trident. For Finnegan, that is his guitar, Sally, which he is very skilled in using. Even when transformed into a trident, he can still play it like a guitar (even underwater). As of “Finnegan Faces the Music”, his trident had gotten an upgrade.

Finnegan has family ties to sirens and Lagoona Blue, and is friends with many Monster High students.
Finnegan has a beautiful singing voice, just like his aunties, the sirens. He also has a mother and a father, who both share his love for music (particularly rock).
In "Creature Clash", in a presentation of their scaritage, Lagoona Blue revealed that her and Finnegan are second cousins, having a great grandkraken in common. She then went on to state that her ancestor stole the heart of his ancestor (literally). Despite Finnegan finding Lagoona’s bloodthirstiness to be disturbing at times, the two are still very close and are often seen spending time together.

Finnegan's name is derived from a famous ballad and novel, with puns on aquatic terms.
- Finnegan's name comes from the 1800s Irish American street ballad "Finnegan's Wake", also possibly from the James Joyce novel published under the same name. It is simultaneously a pun on the words "fin", a part of aquatic animal anatomy, and "wake", a wave pattern downstream of an object in flow (such as a boat).
- He used Cleo's title card in "Licensed to Rock" instead of the one will with a brick wall and goo.
- His design bares a resemblance to Gillington Webber's first generation design.
