When he was born, Hades’ father, Cronus, ate him. After being freed many years later, and after his father was defeated, Hades became the Lord of the Underworld. He also became the president and CEO of the company, Underworld, Inc.

He has also been shown to be rude, uncaring, selfish and impulsive. Due to Heath Burns being a much more caring person, Hades often got into arguments with his son, specifically about the damage Hades was doing to the planet. Despite these many arguments, Hades initially refused to stop the damage he causes, until he got advice from Tundra Bominable to listen to his son, otherwise he will lose him. Not wanting to lose Heath, Hades acknowledged his wrongdoings and apologized to his son. Since then, he has been working on himself to be both a better person and a better father.
