- Qing's name is known because of the original bio system on the Monster High (website). Although Jinafire Long's profile proper didn't mention him, there was also an in-source profile that would be visible if the graphics didn't load. This in-source profile contained a line about her pet: "A Qilin name Qing. He's my lucky charm."
- Qing and Nati are the first of several pets during Generation 1's run that ended up half-existing, having been designed and intended to be produced as figurines, but being budgeted out at the last second. Despite that their owners' profiles state that they don't have pets, references to them remain in the Scaris: City of Frights sketchbooks.
